We are currently recruiting for a Service Manager who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities associated with the service department. A successful service manager strives to continually improve the functions and efficiency of the Service Department by meeting goals, providing leadership and management of department employees, and cultivating strong customer relationships.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• To be the prime contact for the service department at the depot to meet the demands of the business.
• Daily management of Service Technicians through planning and allocating work to ensure the department is run in the most effective manner.
• Processing of monthly invoicing.
• Ensures high levels of engagement and coordination.
• Provide customers with estimated time of arrival, attendances and parts.
• Managing customer expectations
• Communicating with suppliers to get the best possible solution to all customer critical situations that arise.
• To comply with Health and Safety responsibilities and keeping a working workshop clean and tidy
• Familiarity of profit/loss management and reporting.
• Manage service staff training and development needs.
• Document warranty work as per manufacturers’ requirements and dealership policy

 Essential requirements

• A proactive person with a can do attitude.
• Agricultural experience is essential.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to be diplomatic in certain situations.
• Ideally need experience with planning, scheduling, customer service, and have strong organisational skills.
• Proactive and methodical in approach to problem solving.
• Ability to manage, coach and motivate staff, helping to ensure a welcoming, friendly environment.
• The willingness to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• IT Literate with a keen eye for detail
• Expectation to work Saturday mornings during our busy period

We are currently looking for a Professional Groundcare Technician to join our existing team in Yarkhill, Hereford

Role Purpose:
Reporting to our Service Manager, your responsibility will be to repair and maintain all equipment associated with Professional Ground care machinery sold by the company’s sales department.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Sound knowledge of Utility and/or Garden machinery or small Agricultural machinery
• Knowledge of both Domestic and Professional Grass Machinery
• Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults
• Excellent customer service skills both face to face and over the telephone
• Has the ability to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work area within the workshop
• Clean and tidy general appearance
• Excellent customer service skills
• Full clean driver’s licence

Benefits:

• 39hrs per week basic – 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday
• Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39hrs Monday to Friday
